The Susan Wakil Fellowship is an unparalleled student leadership program. The Fellowship provides a nurturing platform for Jewish students to learn how to make an impact upon the issues that are being felt by their fellow students and fellow Australians.

Political Training Seminar (PTS)

During one of the Federal Parliamentary sitting weeks, AUJS students visit Canberra and hear from a diverse range of political actors and leaders. Without a doubt AUJS’ best program, it is the only non-partisan opportunity that Australian university students have to meet with our political leaders.

AUJS secures a room in parliament for 2 days, playing host to all sides of politics, and the Fellowship pays for Fellows to attend this incredible experience. This Canberra trip is one of the three times throughout the year that the entire Fellowship cohort gets to be together.

Each Fellow is matched with a mentor to complement their personal social and political interests, as well as their professional ambitions.
Projects

The Project of the Fellowship is an exciting opportunity for the Fellows to collaboratively apply the skills they are learning towards an initiative they care about.
Regional Tour

The Regional Tour visits Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne, and provides the Fellows with insights into different career paths.
Workshops

The workshop curriculum is designed to teach Fellows across the spectrum of political understanding, the important skills to designing and executing projects, and personal growth and leadership.
Retreat

The Immersive Retreat kicks off the Fellowship; with four days in regional/seaside Australia, during which time the Fellows learn more about the program, their Fellowship cohort, and themselves.
