If you're interested in the political and advocacy space, AUJS has a wide and varied range of opportunities. Our Political Training Seminar in Canberra, going into its 24th year, puts students face to face with the most influential political leaders in the country and might be the perfect place to start your political journey. The Great Debate is the perfect way to have your voice heard by the politicians in the biggest Jewish electorate. Thanks to the generous support of the Susan and Isaac Wakil Foundation, AUJS's Susan Wakil Fellowship continues to nurture and provide students with unprecedented access to brilliant mentors and advocacy development. The fellowship teaches students how to create the biggest impact on issues that are prevalent to their fellow students. Accelerate our Israel advocacy conference like never before, Accelerate will provide you with 3 days of unparalleled training covering everything from politics in the Middle East to Australia/Israel relations to anti-Zionism vs antisemitism. If you need something a bit smaller, our regional political conferences, speaker events and mentor/internship programs might be the perfect fit. If meeting new people and developing new friendships is more your style, AUJS is perfect. Not only can you meet lifelong friends through becoming an AUJS leader. Through our on and off-campus events, regional balls, Purim parties, and international programs and many other great events, you will have a way to make new friends.
