The Susan Wakil Fellowship is principally a year-long political program for elite Jewish university students across Sydney and Melbourne who have displayed a passion for making a social and political impact. Through a curriculum of workshops, interstate conferences and guidance from Fellowship Directors, the program endeavours to develop highly-skilled, informed and considered Fellows that are across many important knowledge components.
The learning objectives throughout the year broadly cover the following areas of interest; The Australian Political Landscape (Government, Lobbying, Think Tanks, Policy Development etc), Project Management, Design Thinking, Community Organising and Relationship Building.
Fellows deliver projects in groups over the duration of the year, join AUJS' annual pilgrimage to Canberra for Political Training Seminar (PTS), and are mentor-matchmade with esteemed professionals in the broader Jewish community.
